Rondo Junior Seminary, the secondary Anglican boys school maintained by the Diocese of Masasi is very proud of the O level results that came out this month. Division I is the best grade possible and there were no Division IV. All the staff and the students are very pleased that their hard work has achieved such good results. Hongera wote!
Some rain has now arrived in Masasi, albeit long awaited and a bit late. Many farmers are now planting into the prepared soil. Maize is the first crop to sow. If you are lucky you can hire a tractor and driver to dig acres for you. If money is tight then it is time to pick up your seeds and hoe and get to work. So many in Southern Tanzania rely on the provision of adequate rain in order to feed their families and maybe have some surplus to sell. If you have any cash then keronsene, salt and soap are the first provisions that are purchased for your household.
